OUR BOAT

Originally a support vessel for the British Royal Navy, the Polaris I was completely transformed into a comfortable expedition vessel in 2011. Built with high-quality materials and designed to navigate all types of sea, she is a solid and reliable boat.

Its sturdiness and comfort make it perfectly suited to safe navigation in the polar regions for those wishing to travel off the beaten track, while enjoying optimum comfort. The number of cabins means that each passenger can have an individual cabin at no extra cost, and the brightness of the communal areas means that you can enjoy the scenery from inside. This is the most comfortable and welcoming small ship in the Arctic.

The ship flies the French flag and is monitored by the Det Norsk Veritas classification society, recognised worldwide as one of the most serious in the maritime field, guaranteeing compliance with the highest safety standards on board.

Whether you're on a wildlife-watching cruise or a ski-touring trip, the Polaris is a warm, authentic vessel on which the safety, well-being, comfort and relaxation of passengers are the watchwords.

Facilities

The boat can accommodate up to 12 passengers in 12 comfortable cabins, each with a sea view and private bathroom/WC. There are 8 cabins with double beds for couples, and 4 single cabins. It is also possible to twin each single cabin with a double cabin, thanks to a system of connecting doors, to create family suites or larger cabins as required. Single occupancy of a cabin is possible at no extra cost. The dining room and lounge-bar are panoramic, so you can enjoy the scenery whatever the weather.

Outside: a panoramic deck allows you to enjoy the scenery or observe wildlife in comfort.
